Again it's been a while...

Currently I feel very unproductive but at the same time I have tons of different ideas. But it feels like I am kind of blocked ... I can't get the stuff out of my head and onto some paper or a screen or whereever it belongs.
Right now I'm trying to force myself to draw a specific picture that has been on my mind for a few months already. But the only thing I got done so far is a very raw outline of the background - not even the motif. But the thing is, that I'm running out of time rather sooner than later since it was meant as a birthday gift for a special someone and I have less than a week left now.

Other than that I am very much excited for a couple of events in the near future. Fighting a depression, it's very important to find some joy in my life again. So I've gathered my last few bucks to spend them on stuff that will do me good. Mainly dvds in the last couple of months, but next week I'll be attending a small film festival in London to finally watch my most wanted movie ("Pickups") and maybe even get the chance to meet my favorite director and if very lucky my favorite actor there. And a few weeks later I'll meet my favorite band Baumann Bergmann Pokinsson including my favorite game developer (their lead singer) once again at a live concert.
Hopefully these things will get my creativity flowing once again. However, it will be great and inspiring for sure to meet the most creative person I could possibly think of once again and with a good bit of luck maybe even my personal muse.

After some difficult weeks if not months I feel like getting slowly back on track.

I haven't forgotten about the Eyrie/Arryn project, but I'm not pleased with how it turned out so far, so I might just do it all over again, once I got an idea on how I want to do it. I thought about doing some artwork for my upcoming fanfiction of Petyr Baelish and Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones / A Song of Ice and Fire in the meantime, but so far I only got some pretty rough outlines for very few chapters, so there is not much I could draw already if I want it to fit into the story properly.

If you got any suggestions, what I could draw in the meantime (preferably something GoT-related), feel free to tell me.

Most likely I will start on something new by tomorrow, tho I have no idea yet, what it will be. Maybe something about the sigils again. Dunno.

Today I practiced with a few coats of arms from GoT (Tully, Arryn and Tyrell). While working on those I had an idea, what I would like to draw. Something way more complicated. So complicated that I'm unsure if there's even a chance that I might be pleased with what I'd be able to draw at this point. Gotta wrap my mind around the idea a bit more and see if I could do it right away or if I'd need to practice the different parts of it on their own first.
Basically the idea is to draw the members of each house of GoT (living and dead) in front of their sigil. For example having a dark blue background with a shining crescent moon and a white falcon for house Arryn, and in the front having Lysa falling down the moongate from the Eyrie, Sweetrobin sitting on the weirwood throne and maybe having even Jon's corpse laid out with those stones on his eyes. Something along those lines. Not sure how to start with it tho. But guess since I already have an idea about them, I might go with the Arryn's first. Might. We'll see.

I think I might have made a decision which idea I wanna stick with first.
Instead of starting to create my very own fantasy universe, I wanna focus on writing a GoT fanfiction. But since it's supposed to be based on what is known through the TV show and ofc GRRM's books, I need to do a lot of research first.
While focussing on that I might also align my drawing practice with it and draw some GoT related stuff. It seems like a good chance to get more practice with characters and clothing - both deeply needed, I think.

It's been a while. But hey, I'm still alive!

I always wanted to really start on drawing to get more practice, but somehow I've managed to trick myself long enough to stay away from it.
Today I've finally started and drawn a little kiwi bird. I'm not too pleased with it, but it's a start I guess.
I really hope that I'll continue with it. Somehow I've always had a hard time to stay focussed on one thing lately. There's plenty of stuff that I wanna do and wanna try out. And plenty of creative stuff included. I wanna draw stuff. I wanna write stuff. I wanna create my own world, my own animals, my own clothing/armor, my own characters and stories...
And I'm curious what I'll come up with...
